The NA My Step Faction nominated Levon Buniatyan’s candidate in the post of the member for the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC). The item was debated at April 13. The PSRC member is elected in secret ballot by the majority of the votes of the deputies’ total number.

Vahagn Hovakimyan noted that the election would be held today during the period from 13:20 to 14:20.

Artak Manukyan: In contrast with the voicing viewpoints, the PSRC is a functioning platform, where the possible interests of the consumer and large organizations shall be discussed. Besides, it shall have professional observations, therefore is not inclined at the interest of any side – the strategic and further operation balanced interest is in the interest of the PSRC. This is obvious, it is like that in the whole world.

Taguhi Tovmasyan ; The risk that whose interest the candidate will serve in case of being elected, aroused while reading the biography because he worked in the electric networks, i.e. he had been in the opposite polar. It is difficult to picture how he is going to oppose the former employers at least in human aspect.

Sergey Bagratyan: We need creative employee but not the one who fulfils. Our questions are addressed to the fact that the candidate will get ready for working out strategic plans. And my interpellations are just for it. This is a hard work, and if you are ready for that mission, I wish you to be elected and serve the Republic of Armenia.

Gevorg Papoyan: At least we should present two demands for the PSRC member. The first is the professionalism, the second – the capability of defending the interests of the society and the people. One of these shall at least be. But the best version will be, then both will be.

Arman Babajanyan : We propose that here we’ll speak about fundamental problems. We’ll have a situation that we shall understand: does that Commission defend the interest of Armenia or oligarchia that after the revolution it continues having the very concrete infrastructures and the economic interest, also solves political problems besides providing incomes.

Sofia Hovsepyan: I would like to know after these voiced questions if you understood how unready were you as a candidate for being appointed in this important post. That is a rather serious post, and all of us know about it. Were four-five months not sufficient to know where you were going? Review the item of your candidacy and don’t put yourself under blows.

Mikayel Melkumyan: This Government did not succeed to mitigate the risks which at least they could do. Energy is the backbone of the economy. We shall imagine Armenia as competitive country in terms of energy, because it is the sphere that can effectively work even in case of blockade.

Final Speech by the Candidate Levon Buniatyan : I have not ever worked through acquaintance. Wherever I worked I have done with great devotion and responsibility. I am always ready to study. I have not worked in the PSRC and I could not know your demanded information.
